Greetings From Great Southern Outdoors:
For many years before we opened Great Southern Outdoors I dreamed of what it would be like. As a boy growing up on a Plantation, I knew that I wanted to find my place in the outdoors. Over twelve years of hard work and ideas went into the development of the business that is now called Great Southern Outdoors. We offer deer, turkey, wild hog and bob white quail hunting, as well as fishing. To start the 2002-2003 deer season we will also offer something special for our female hunters. Great Southern Outdoors 1st annual Ladies Bow Hunt Classic will kick off bow season, offering ladies the opportunity to be the first in the woods....after all, in the south, we still believe in "Ladies First".
Now that we have been in business starting our ninth year, my ideas have changed a little. When we opened nine years ago I thought having a wildlife plantation meant watching people kill trophy whitetail deer, harvest a 20 lb. turkey or a 300 lb. boar, or the catch of a 10 lb bass. Please don't get me wrong, I do enjoy these things, but what I enjoy the most now is seeing a husband and wife or father and son come in and spend special time together or watching a child take his or her first deer. Watching 4 friends from 4 different states get together for the first time in 10 years to enjoy great hunting and remembering great times they've had together is also great. Another big thrill is watching 2 different groups of hunters come in and spend a few days hunting and comparing different strategies, then leave as good friends.
Great Southern Outdoors thoroughly enjoys meeting people and having a part in their enjoyment of life. September 11, 2001 hit us hard, as it did all of America. It opened our eyes to what is important in life. We are determined to do all that we can to help each of our customers have a great time and become a life long friend. Everyone who comes to Great Southern Outdoors leaves their footprint, not only on the property, but also on the lives of all of us here at Great Southern Outdoors. We welcome you to come and leave your footprints.
