Here, at Great Southern Outdoors, our goal is to work hard and provide the things that will help you realize we are serious about providing you the ultimate outdoor trip. I guess your next question might be, what are the things that someone should look for in a hunting trip. Great Southern Outdoors feels we must meet two aspects to make ourselves the best there is in plantation hunting
The first is our land. Alabama has the second largest deer population in the nation, and Bullock County, the heart of Great Southern Outdoors, has the largest population in the state of Alabama. But, we don’t stop there. We take our land care to the next level. Our guides and employees dedicate 12 months in providing the very best deer hunting imaginable.
The summer months are spent putting protein supplements in the ground, and providing good food when others are not even thinking about deer. When the summer food has been eaten, they go on to prepare the fields for the hunting season. Hour on hour is worked until every acre of Great Southern Outdoors is ready for hunting. When the fields are done and the property has been groomed, we strategically place our hunting stands to give you the best angle for hunting.
There is no greater sight that to see all of the property ready for hunting season, and the fields full of deer. It is not uncommon at Great Southern Outdoors to sit in your stand and look down through the hardwoods and watch several different bucks searching for acorns. Maybe you would enjoy watching the sun set on a beautiful green field full of does when a trophy whitetail steps out into the horizon. Whatever your outdoor dream is, we will work our hardest to make it come true.
The second part of our plantation is our hospitality. Great Southern Outdoors has beautiful land, but it prides itself on a friendly southern atmosphere. When the hunting trips are over, our game room is full of fun and liar’s den is full of stories about the one that got away. Most of Great Southern Outdoors visitors are repeat visitors, and we have had the opportunity to make friends with them. After just one trip to Great Southern, you will be a part of this hunting friendship that you will want to carry on year after year.
